29th Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration

Celebrate the rich cultural heritage and traditions of North Carolina’s American Indian communities at this annual event held at the North Carolina Museum of History. Enjoy a day full of music, dance, storytelling, and traditional crafts presented by members of the state’s eight recognized tribes. The celebration also features educational presentations, food vendors, and hands-on activities for all ages, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the history and contributions of American Indian cultures. This event brings together diverse communities for a day of cultural exchange and appreciation.

NOTE: While the North Carolina Museum of History is closed for renovation, this year's festival is being held at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Activities will take place on the Bicentennial Plaza and inside the museum.
